Application:
A lick block
for all livestock to aid in areas where there are copper deficiencies
Net Weight:
20kg
Feeding Instructions:
Remove outer
carton and plastic cover and place near water troughs, dams and
stock camps. Place out sufficient blocks to avoid overcrowding of
stock. Initially, the consumption rate will be higher than average,
but higher rates of consumption will drop after an initial "gorging"
period. Replace immediately when consumed.
Consumption
Guide:
The following
rates will increase or decrease according to varying pasture conditions.
Cattle 100 -
150 g/head/day
Sheep 20 - 50
g/head/day

When to Use
Cob & Co:
When there are
deficiencies of Copper and Cobalt in the feed ration. The bacteria
in the rumen require an array of minerals and trace elements to
process feed. The minerals and trace elements in an animal's diet
can be compared to the staves of a barrel: if any one of those staves
is broken or missing, the level of nutritional health is decreased
to the level of its greatest deficiency. There is a concentration
of these trace elements at which rumen microbes function optimally,
so each of these elements must be correctly balanced. The effect
of balancing these essential elements is the efficient breakdown
of feed consumed by the animal. Trace Elements effect the animal
in different ways and deficiencies in copper and cobalt have the
effect the following areas: Copper effects: hair colour; spinal
cord development; fibrosis of the heart and heart failure; red blood
cell development; scouring; conception. Cobalt deficiency can cause:
loss of appetite; anaemia; weight loss and eventually death.
