but higher rates of consumption will drop after an initial "gorging"
period. Replace immediately when consumed.

When to
Use Minarea:
The bacteria
in the rumen require an array of minerals and trace elements to
process feed.
The minerals
and trace elements in an animal's diet can be compared to the staves
of a barrel: if any one of those staves is broken or missing, the
level of nutritional health is decreased to the level of its greatest
deficiency. The
seven trace elements required for effective rumen function are:
copper, cobalt, iron, zinc, manganese, iodine and selenium.
There is a concentration
of these elements at which rumen microbes function optimally, so
each of these elements must be correctly balanced. The effect of
balancing these essential elements is the efficient breakdown of
feed consumed by the animal. Olsson's
Minarea gives the animal the best chance to correct minor deficiencies.
