Application:
a protein block
for ruminants
Net Weights:
19kg & 32kg
Feeding Instructions:
Remove outer
carton and plastic cover and place near water troughs, dams and
stock camps. Place out sufficient blocks to avoid overcrowding of
stock. Initially, the consumption rate will be higher than average,
but higher rates of consumption will drop after an initial "gorging"
period. Replace immediately when consumed.
Consumption
Guide:
The following
rates will increase or decrease according to varying pasture conditions.
Cattle 60 -100g/head/day
Sheep 20 - 30g/head/day
WARNING:
This product
contains urea. Do not feed to starving stock.

WHEN TO
USE U15:
1. When pastures
are plentiful but dry and deficient in protein.
When designing
supplements for ruminants, the primary objective is feeding the
microorganisms in the rumen.
The growth of
rumen microorganisms requires the presence of a nitrogen source,
ammonia, which usually arises from digested dietary proteins, such
as found in pastures, urea, grains, etc.
The other important
principle to be taken into account when formulating a supplement
is the protein requirements of the animal itself.
The ruminant,
as distinct from the rumen microorganisms, has a variable demand
for protein during its growth and production, to be used for tissue
synthesis , wool production, milk production, etc. The
extra protein required during these periods is best supplied in
the diet as bypass proteins.
U15 supplies
both forms of protein to maximise the digestion of feed and maximise
production.
