When To Use
Dairymix:
Dairymix has
been formulated especially for addition to bail concentrate fed
to high producing dairy cows. Dairymix has dual purposes. Firstly
to buffer grains fed in the bail so that cows will be able to efficiently
digest pasture, and secondly to supplement minerals where a deficiency
may either reduce production or cause metabolic disorders.
Optimum nutrition
is required to achieve:
1. Potential
milk production
2. Milk quality
requirements
3. Herd health
and fertility
Feeding Instructions:
Add to bail
feed at 100g/cow/day. Supplements of up to 200g/cow/day may be used
where requirements are high and response is cost-effective. Commence
with 25g/cow/day and increase by 25g/cow/day every 3 days intil
100g/cow/day is reached. Cow
usually adjust their feed intake to normal within a week of reaching
the full supplement. Response in production has been observed after
10 days of reaching the full recommended supplement of 100g/cow/day.
